Spring Is Just Around The Corner
The sun popped out today and for a few hours it cast its rays over the garden and added an optimistic brilliance to the views across the fields and woodlands.
Nestling in the borders, ready to burst open, were the tiny green shoots of snowdrops. Close inspection of branches revealed tiny embryonic buds where leaves will soon appear. There's something so optimistic about this time of year, where grey gives way to soft blues and greens and the air smells fresh.
A look inside my wardrobe reminded me that soon all of those woollen scarves and fur lined hats could be put away and replaced with some uplifting and lightweight accessories.
