TIN CAN PLANT POTS

It's hard not to be a plant collector and sometimes there are not enough pots for those little snippets and tiny plant babies that are ready for a home. That's when it is time to get creative and upcycle/recycle some kitchen cast offs. There is something so appealing about the humble tin can that makes it an easy choice for a simple makeover to add a little homely touch to a windowsill or bench in your small magical garden. Here's how:

  1. Remove the lid, wash out your tin can and peel off the label.
  2. Turn the can upside down on a firm surface and use a hammer and nail to punch a few holes in the bottom of the can.
  3. Fill with compost and add your plant snippet.
  4. Arrange on a garden shelf, greenhouse or windowsill for a pretty display
